Reshma comes from an Indian family. Her family moved from India to the Fiji Islands where she was born to Hindu parents. Hindus worship many gods so when Reshma as a young girl found the One True God, Jesus Christ, her mother threatened to cripple her so that she could not leave the house and embarrass the family if she remained a Christian.
